I was contacted a while ago by phone from someone who was interested
in my HKS intercoolers. He agreed on the price and informed me that he
would pay that night with paypal and I gave him the spiel on how I would
send the package the next day once I received payment. Well, I never
got that payment and two days later I get a message on my phone
saying he didn't have enough money in his account, so he was going to
pay by check in the mail. Okay, I thought. So later I called him back and
to confirm his name, email address and his intentions on paying by
check. He said it was sent and on the way. A week later I still hadn't received anything in the mail, so I e-mail him asking what day he had
sent the check since it usually takes 5 days or less from his area and
beyond to get to my location. No reply from him at all and phone just
rings or call does not go through. That was weeks ago.
So today I tell myself that I was going to contact another person who
contacted me about the ICs that I had pretty much put on a standby list
(since I thought I was going to sell them to the first person) if I hadn't received the check today. Sure enough, no check. So I contact a TT.net
member letting him know that the first deal didn't go down and I was
checking back with him since he showed interest in the ICs and he was
second in line of my list. This member agreed and payed me and we had
a good transaction and the Ics will be sent out to him tomorrow.
If a check does finally come in the mail, I will return the unopened
envelope by certified mail. An e-mail has been sent out to him already
informing him of the issue.
As far as I know, I did everything I was supposed to, yet I just couldn't
get through to this guy. I don't know if he was a member here or not,
but I'm just letting it be known that communication is important on both
sides, even if you are a buyer. I'm just frustrated that I had wait so long
for nothing.
